I'm excited to announce that Blade.Science blades are now available from Rich@TheRink to UK skaters. As usual, it's highly recommended to discuss high end blade purchases prior to buying. What makes Blade.Science blades different?

Blade.Science blades have inbuilt suspension. This reduces the landing impact from jumps. Mechanically they are similar to other blades and come in a variety of profiles.

Who are Blade.Science blades for?

Rich@TheRink does not recommend these blades until you have found your ideal profile, due to the cost - these are not beginners blades!

The cushioning support also only supports up to a skater weight of 85kg.

What options do I have?

• Absorber Stiffness (by skater weight)
• Frame colour
• Absorber colour
• And of course, blade profile

NB: The blade profiles are not guaranteed to match exactly the representative profile.

Will you ship these blades?

This online shop is principally for skaters who are able to attend Cambridge Ice Arena in the UK, though we may ship the blades elsewhere in the UK on special request.

What's the lead time for getting new blades?

Due to the number of options, availability and time to readiness is variable, and may be quite long.

What maintenance is required?

• Sharpening
• Replacement of the blade
• Replacement of the shock absorbers
